There has been a nationwide issue with Tax Identity Fraud. Several tax filers across the country have had their 2014 taxes rejected due to scammers obtaining access to their social security numbers and other personal information and filing a false tax return in order to claim a refund.
We would like to assure you that NONE of the information, data or records of any current or previous Naden/Lean client has been compromised. This is a nationwide issue that has occurred in several states. Some suspect the source of this security breach is linked to a national health care insurer but we do not have any confirmed details.
If your 2014 Tax return E-File is rejected due to this fraud, you will be notified immediately and our staff will reach out to you right away with filing alternatives. Again, this fraud is not related to Naden/Lean in any way. It is our duty to maintain the confidentiality and security of our clients’ information. Please reach out to your tax preparer if you have any further questions.
